As a Purchasing Agent specializing in Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), you will play a crucial role in procuring materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for our company's operations in these sectors. This role requires negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC industries.

- Vendor Selection: Identify and evaluate suppliers and vendors for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Price Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and cost-effectiveness.
- Order Processing: Process purchase orders for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of delivery managed through company ERP systems.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC materials and supplies, replenishing stock as needed to meet project requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that purchased materials and equipment meet quality standards and specifications.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for procurement-related matters.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including division managers, project managers, engineers, warehouse managers and operations staff, to understand project requirements and coordinate procurement activities accordingly.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a purchasing agent or procurement specialist, preferably in the electrical, plumbing, or HVAC industries.
- Deep understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and inventory management.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC industries is preferred.
