Position Summary:ITT Gould's Pumps are among the most widely recognized and respected brands in the global pump industry, serving customers in oil and gas, mining, power generation, chemical, pulp and paper, and general industrial markets. As the only manufacturer to make digital monitoring standards on every process pump, ITT Gould's Pumps continues to lead the industry in both mechanical pump design and the adoption of smart technologies.
The Pump Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for managing and growing the Houston, Texas sales territory. The individual will sell engineering pumping equipment for ITT Gould's Pumps. This will be accomplished through the development of new and existing key EPC customers within the territory. The position is responsible for sales planning and achieving an annual sales forecast by meeting growth targets for the set territory in the Houston, Texas region. The client focus will be primarily in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical markets. The individual must live in the territory location with weekly visits to the Stafford, TX office location.
Essential Responsibilities:- Develop customers for increased portfolio sales by consultative selling and solution selling to meet all territory forecast and growth objectives.
- Establish a positive personal relationship with key buying influences at target accounts.
- Make sales presentations to customers demonstrating our products and capabilities.
- Establish and maintain Value Based Commercial Excellence account plans for the territory.
- Maintain an electronic quote log for all open quotes in the territory.
- Communicate with Sales Management via a monthly report on competitor information, customer needs, market conditions, issues, successes, and sales efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline with 5+ years of related experience.
- 5+ years of experience selling rotating equipment to engineering firms.
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in mechanical equipment; chemical, oil & gas markets.
- Strong degree of independence, requiring limited management and guidance to meet objectives.
- The position will not require overnight travel but will require consistent office visits to Stafford, TX office location.
