Job Summary:
HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join a high volume pulmonary practice:Qualified Candidates:
- Join a well-established group of three experienced physicians: two general pulmonologists and an interventional pulmonologist
- Provider would focus primarily on inpatient service – rounding on patients, managing consults, performing procedures, and support of interventional pulmonology service.
- Provider will work in conjunction with supervising physician on IP service that week and would see an average of 10 patient consults per day
- Provider will manage visits of established patients one afternoon per week in OP clinic (Thursday); 8-10 patients on average
- Provider may assist interventional pulmonologist with procedures and should be willing to perform the following procedures independently: chest tube placement and management, tracheostomy exchange, thoracentesis, and Tissue Plasminogen Activator (tPA) administration.
- Prior procedure experience a plus, but not required
- Prior inpatient experience preferred
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy protocols is a plus
- New grads encouraged to apply, as supervising providers are supportive of mentorship and education
- Hours: M-F; 8am – 5pm
- No night or weekend call coverage
