(PUBLIC WORKS) Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I - Sampson County

GRADE: 64

SALARY: Begins at $36,132/Year with comprehensive benefits package

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Public Works Department has an opportunity for an individual with a working knowledge of sound construction practices and associated applications to support overall maintenance and repair of County buildings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience in the use of equipment and tools of the trade, and demonstrated initiative with limited supervision are key components of this position.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required; relative experience and a working knowledge of principles, practices, tools and equipment used in construction, electrical and plumbing applications desired.
