Required Skills:

Public Affairs Manager, Youth & Well-Being Responsibilities:

1. Become part of the Public Affairs team focused on the safety, privacy, and well-being of teens across Meta technologies.

2. Understand the legislative agenda around youth well-being globally, new research, and usage of our own products to inform and prepare communications approaches for new product and policy improvements for minors, including on Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and VR/AR (the metaverse).

3. Play a central advisory role on several evolving areas in the youth space, such as age verification, harmful content restriction for minors, default protections, parental supervision and consent, time spent tools, and the collection and processing of minors’ data.

4. Manage press around youth well-being and safety and train executives, such as the Global Head of Safety, to speak on challenging and business-critical issues.

5. Beyond youth safety, support products and policy areas for all Meta users including preventing the spread of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online, preventing human trafficking, and in how we treat certain types of content on our platforms such as suicide and self-injury, bullying and harassment, and eating disorders.

7. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in English Language & Literature, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and five years of experience in job offered or in a communications or public relations-related occupation.

$296,329/year to $332,090/year + bonus + equity + benefits
