PT Cook - Twilight Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation

Twilight Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation in Norwalk, Ohio is seeking a Part-time (3 days/week) Dietary Cook to join our team! 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF Dietary Cook:

• Review menus prior to food preparation
• Inspect trays to assure the correct meal is served to the resident
• Coordinate food service with other departments, as necessary
• Ensure all food procedures are followed in accordance with policies
• Assume responsibility and accountability of cook
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus
• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing
• Serve in accordance with established portion control
• Prepare and serve bestime snacks
• Ensure proper utensils are provided with meal tray
• Prepare and serve substitute food to residents who refuse foods served
• Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens and dining rooms
• Assisting in maintaining clean and properly arranged food storage areas
• Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies
• Wear protective clothing when necessary

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS OF Dietary Cook: All qualified applicants MUST have the following:

• ServSafe Certified
• High school graduate
• Experience in quantity food preparation/production, preferred

SKILLS AND QUALITIES OF Dietary Cook: All qualified applicants should possess the following qualities:

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to respect all members of the healthcare team
• Solid work history with excellent attendance and punctuality and Patience, understanding and compassion for those requiring our care.

Job Type: Part-time 3 days/week with availability to pick up shifts if needed.
