Role:
The Psychologist provides direct psychotherapy services to Behavioral Health patients; assists Behavioral Health Director in clinical functions of the department, including management of integrated behavioral health services in primary care; develops and implements policies and procedures; and collects data and develops reports and other responsibilities as assigned. There is some potential for working 1-2 days per week remotely, during regular clinic hours, after 6 months of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Performs intakes, evaluations and provides therapy to Behavioral Health patients assigned by the Director.
- Actively participates in extended primary care teams and Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) teams, participates on treatment teams focusing on behavioral issues with patients using brief therapies, crisis management and provides consultations to providers while working in primary care.
- Facilitates trainings, case conferences; conducts Utilization Review.
- Obtains insurance authorization for all patients, tracks visits and obtains re-authorization if necessary.
- Completes comprehensive assessment, quarterly treatment updates and discharge summaries for all patients in a timely manner.
- Coordinates behavioral health treatment with psychiatry and primary care providers.
- Completes psychological testing within parameters of certification.
- Performs collateral case work for patients when necessary, i.e. completing disability forms, consulting with other providers, teachers and institutions.
- Provides clinical supervision for behavioral health staff and/or interns as directed by Behavioral Health Director, supervises student interns and completes evaluations in timely manner as required by the school program.
- Completes appropriate documentation and submits charges in a timely manner as required.
- Attends case conferences and in-services when required.
Requirements:
- Current MA Licensed Ph.D, Psy.D, Current BLS (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) Certification
- 2 years of experience providing therapy in individual, family and/or group modalities
- 2 years of experience providing integrated behavioral health services in primary care
- Doctoral degree in relevant discipline
- One year of clinical experience providing treatment to youth and/or elderly patients preferred
- One year of clinical experience in Substance abuse treatment preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel
- Experience using and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) EPIC/OCHIN highly desired.
