We have an exciting opportunity for a psychologist to join the Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics within the Department of Pediatrics at Wake Forest School of Medicine.
Job responsibilities: developmental and autism spectrum disorder testing, participation in interdisciplinary team meetings, and program development. There are expectations for teaching and clinical research as a faculty member.
Qualifications: doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an APA-accredited graduate program, completion of an APA-accredited internship, completion of at least a one-year pediatric psychology fellowship, license-eligible as a psychologist in NC, and trained in administration of ADOS. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, a team-player, and detail-oriented.
Rank and Compensation: Salaries and benefits are competitive. Faculty rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Location: Brenner Childrens Hospital/ Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is located in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. Winston-Salem is a mid-size city with a low cost of living, a historic past, and a vibrant downtown. Temperate weather and close proximity to mountains and the coast provide opportunities for numerous outdoor activities. The Arts in the Piedmont area are plentiful with UNC School of the Arts, Piedmont Opera, Winston-Salem Symphony, and Broadway productions at Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts. About Us: Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a vibrant and growing medical center. Our childrens hospital and pediatrics specialty clinics serve approximately 25,000 patients annually. As such, the Department of Pediatrics has been expanding steadily. The Department of Pediatrics is a collegial department with dedicated and top-notch faculty. The medical school, pediatric residency, family medicine residency, child psychiatry fellowship, and psychology training program provide ample teaching opportunities. Research support is available through the Wake Forest Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and there are many opportunities for research collaboration within the Department of Pediatrics and throughout the medical center. In addition, mentorship opportunities are available departmentally and within the larger medical center.
