Core Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological screenings, assessments, and evaluations for offenders referred for mental health services.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for individuals requiring specialized therapy.
- Provide psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy.
- Communicate clinical findings through written reports and consultations with Mental Health Unit staff.
- Use electronic medical record systems to document all mental health interactions accurately.
- Supervise services provided by qualified mental health professionals within the facility.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Consult with facility staff and administrators on mental health strategies and cases.
- Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.
- Licensing: Active Clinical Psychologist license in Illinois.
- Preferred Experience: Clinical settings, mental health care delivery, and proficiency with EMR systems.
- Certification: CPR certification for on-site roles (accepted providers: American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety and Health Institute).
