We are seeking to add a Psychologist to our team. This full-time position may be able to work at any of our locations throughout Central Minnesota, depending on client need. The purpose of this role is to provide psychological services, including testing and psychotherapy, to clients referred to Northern Pines Mental Health Center. Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Essential Functions include:
- Observe clients in various situations; select, administer, and interpret intelligence, personality, or other psychological tests to diagnose disorders and formulate plans of treatment
- Provide consultation to other mental health professionals with regard to psychological test results.
- Assess client progress and modify treatment programs accordingly; communicate with and counsel family members as appropriate.
- Facilitate and co-facilitate individual, group, family, and crisis therapies
- Competencies and ability to provide empirically-supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral issues
- Provide intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and updates to evaluations
- Develop and implement a treatment plan
- Complete a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan
- Complete third-party billing requirements such as obtaining prior authorizations and communicating with the billing office as necessary
- Collaborate regularly with both staff and community partners including: schools, social services, court services, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community at large
- Participate in the referral process
- Maintain necessary written records in accordance with NPMHC policies and procedures and other applicable regulations
- Provide crisis intervention services as requested
- May instruct and direct students completing psychological practicums
- Provide education as needed
Qualifications include:
- This role may be filled by a Licensed Psychologist (LP) in the State of MN with a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.
- Travel is a function of this position; ability to operate a motor vehicle along with a valid driver’s license is required.
