Job Details
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric care to a diverse patient population, including adults and the geriatric population. This role involves managing both inpatient and outpatient cases, with a primary focus on behavioral health. As a board-eligible or board-certified physician, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental health disorders to improve the overall well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for patients, including adults and geriatric population, to determine their mental health status and formulate effective treatment plans.
2. Provide inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, ensuring high-quality services are delivered at all times.
3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
4. Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and make necessary adjustments to ensure patients' progress towards their mental health goals.
5. Stay updated on the latest advancements in psychiatry and incorporate new treatment methods as appropriate.
6. Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders and the importance of treatment adherence.
7. Participate in research activities to contribute to the advancement of psychiatric knowledge and treatment methods.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
2. Board-eligible or board-certified in Psychiatry.
3. Proven experience in inpatient and outpatient care settings.
4. Expertise in behavioral health and psychiatric evaluations.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
6. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
7. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
8. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
9. Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
10. BLS and ACLS certification is preferred.
11. Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
