Our client, an occupational therapy and rehab services organization, is seeking a licensed and experienced remote Psychologist to assess and evaluate the psychological and cognitive abilities of individuals seeking access to transportation program.
The role involves conducting assessments, providing detailed reports, and offering recommendations to support the transportation needs of individuals with disabilities.
This position requires a doctorate/NY State license. Unfortunately, you will not be considered without it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and cognitive assessments for individuals applying for its transportation program.
- Assess functional abilities related to mental health, cognitive impairment, and decision-making capacity as they pertain to transportation independence.
- Prepare and provide detailed psychological reports that include diagnostic information, eligibility recommendations, and functional assessments.
- Collaborate with the overall team, including medical professionals and transportation coordinators, to ensure accurate and fair eligibility determinations.
- Communicate assessment outcomes and recommendations to applicants, their families, and caregivers as needed.
- Stay informed on relevant state and federal regulations concerning disability rights and access to transportation services.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards while handling sensitive psychological and personal data.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree required.
- Must be licensed in New York State.
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience as a licensed mental health practitioner.
- Ability to prioritize see applicants within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in health compliance i.e., accurate, objective, timely documentation.
- Experience in providing objective applicant recommendations from program guidelines.
- Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Experience in working with diverse, and/or marginalized groups and/or communities.
- Strong computer skills; Phone systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, EMRS
