POSITION OVERVIEW:
Prudential Center is currently seeking a part time Coordinator, Entertainment Marketing who will report to our Director, Entertainment Marketing. The coordinator will assist the department with live event and broader marketing campaigns, including but not limited to event announcements and launches, the development and execution of brand and show level marketing plans, and will aid the organization of the department’s project management system and structural tools such as Dropbox, Asana, etc. We are looking for a savvy marketer in the entertainment, arena, or event marketing space who has a passion for music and pop-culture and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing plans including advertising campaigns, promotions, social media, email marketing, PR, grassroots initiatives, and partnerships for upward of 80+ concerts and events each year.
- Assist in trafficking paid and trade media plans, including creative assets, agreements, budgets, and invoices.
- Provide assistance during the week of the show and on the day of the show for closing marketing needs.
- Assist with day-of-event content coverage and coordination of day-of-event activations for bands and artists.
- Take ownership of the department’s project management system and structural tools such as Dropbox, Asana, etc., and coordinate day-to-day recurring marketing tasks for cross-marketing with Devils, Seton Hall Basketball, Sirens, and White Eagle Hall.
- Assist with submission of requests for new assets to generate show awareness and sell-through.
- Use finance software to administer, track and troubleshoot finance matters. Monitor actualized costs to stay within budget and communicate current spends to department head.
- Work on ad-hoc requests / research and analysis for as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or at least 1 year of related experience (internships included) from an accredited college or university with major course work in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality/Sports Management, Business or a related field is preferred
- Available to work up to 30 hours per week
- Basic knowledge & interest in marketing and advertising functions
- Understands the concept of branding
- Intermediate knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok etc.)
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous event or entertainment marketing experience a plus
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in the English language
- Well organized with ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments
- Flexible-must be available to work evenings, weekends, and all event days as assigned
- Team player who is creative and a proactive problem solver
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work Environment: (e.g.) This position generally requires that work be performed from the Prudential Center/New Jersey Devils offices, however attendance at events taking place within the arena is also required.
