Requirements

Role

As a ZeroAvia Protype and Fabrication Manager, you will join the Hollister development team and create and assemble parts for ground and flight-based projects in support of our hydrogen-electric engine programs for zero-emissions flight.

Responsibilities

The role will involve the assembly of cutting-edge technology from early-stage prototypes through to certifiable products and any support products and equipment required for research and development activities. You will also provide general support and management throughout the production workshops and utilize your expertise to support other specialist areas of the business.

• Manage the Machine, EWIS and Fabrication Shops. This includes basic tools and fabrication equipment including hand tools, mill, lathe and welding equipment up to CNC lathe mill and advanced EWIS and harness assembly.
• Mechanically assemble and test aerospace parts using hand and precision tooling, and equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings and documents to assemble and test parts with a high degree of accuracy.
• Maintain comprehensive assembly records and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Proactively collaborate with design & manufacturing teams to solve assembly challenges, improve processes, and participate in error proofing activities.
• Collaborate with the engineering teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Treat safety risk management as a priority to maintain a safe, healthy, and clean working environment.
• Strictly adhere to all company processes and procedures.
• Any other tasks as detailed by the Manager/Lead

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Protype and Fabrication tech/manager in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Aviation or motorsports preferred.
• Previous experience in the mechanical assembly of components that are supplied into advanced manufacturing sectors such as Aerospace, Medical, MOD or Motorsport.
• Experienced in the fabrication and assembly of a wide range of mechanical products using a variety of tools, equipment and high-accuracy measuring equipment.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools, equipment and measuring devices.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing precise and high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Flexible approach to work and a high level of drive and ambition to help achieve the organization’s goals.
• Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Desirable

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate (A&P).
• Aerospace and / or FAA Production Organization experience.
• Aerospace electrical loom manufacture.
• SolidWorks or other CAD proficiency.

Benefits

The wage scale or salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $140,000. In addition to the foregoing base compensation, additional compensation and benefits are available to employees and eligible family members (as applicable) including the following:

 Bonus: Annual discretionary bonuses.

 Retirement: Eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) Plan, with up to a 4% matching

 Life Insurance: Basic Life/AD&D of up to $50,000 and the option to add on Supplemental Coverage.

 Short-Term Disability: Up to 60% of your earnings for up to a period of 24 weeks.

 Long-Term Disability: If your disability extends beyond 180 days, LTD Coverage for up to 60% of your earnings.

️ Paid Time Off: Eligible employees may accrue up to 120 hours per year (15 days) and may borrow up to 40 hours (5 days).

 Sick Time: Eligible employees may accrue up to 40 hours, per year (5 days)

️ Paid Holidays: 12 observed holidays, per calendar year.

️ The Fly Club: up to $2,000 of reimbursement towards flying lessons to all full-time staff
