Job Title: Prototype Additive Technician

Pay Rate: $40.00 - $44.00$ USD Per Hour

As a prototype Additive Manufacturing Technician, you will aid in the development of rapid first articles and prototypes to support mission to solve autonomous mobility.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring the AM lab is able to deliver high-quality 3D printed and Laser Cut parts and assemblies to our internal customers (engineers, product developers, etc.). Their daily responsibilities will include: pre- and post-processing of parts; e.g. setting up builds on the additive machines, support material removal, performing scheduled maintenance, and general lab upkeep. A Candidate for this role does not need to have an extensive background in AM (although it is a bonus) The ideal candidate will bring and grow a prototyping mindset in addition to a strong desire to learn,
self-motivation and is highly organized.

Responsibilities
- Prioritizing and completing work in a timely manner
- Professional communications regarding project updates, timelines, quality, requirements, risks, etc.
- Pre-processing of parts; setting up builds using multiple different software suites
- Post-processing of parts from processes like extrusion (FDM), photopolymerization (SLA), powder bed fusion (SLS), material jetting (Polyjet), and laser cutting
- Develop and modify digital models of components and fixtures using Computer Aided Design (CAD) as required
- Final assembly and finishing of parts
- Daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of machines and ancillary equipment
- Regularly updating and closing Additive Manufacturing JIRA requests
- Always maintain a high level of shop cleanliness and organization.
