Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Write responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs,) and other Government requests. - Create compliant and compelling responses for assigned proposal sections/topics. - Create associated graphics, charts, tables, etc.,in support of proposal development. Tailor proposal content to address client pain points and showcase the company's unique value proposition. - Review and edit proposal responses for consistency, compliance and win theme incorporation. - Research relevant corporate, project, client and industry statistics for proposal responses. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders, to gather necessary information for proposals Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in related field. - 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required. - Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
The Sr Specialist Proposal Writer independently creates compelling content to support business development opportunities. In doing so, the proposal writer will independently solicit feedback from subject matter experts, the capture team, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities include interviews with technical experts and operational resources to gather information; collaborate with graphics designers to identify opportunities for clean, compelling graphics; and preparing concise, compelling proposal writing drafts; and improving drafts based on reviewers comments. Wring must meet proposal requirements, support ease of evaluation, and effectively convey strategy and messaging themes. Additional responsibilities include supporting the creation of a content library and editing, as needed. All work must be performed within the USA.
The Sr Specialist Proposal Writer is expected to execute responsibilities independently with oversight of writing product and content creation as needed. Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. Work requires considerable judgment and initiative. Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Completes understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Understands implication of work and provides recommendations for solutions. Communicates on challenging or escalated issues.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
