Proposal Engineer
Our Pittsburgh, PA client who is a manufacturer of capital equipment is expanding and looking to add a proposal engineer to their team. As a Proposal Engineer, your primary responsibility is to create cost estimates and proposals for capital equipment, tooling, and aftermarket upgrades. You will also assist in coordinating and overseeing all activities related to fulfilling customer orders for tooling build projects and aftermarket upgrades. Receive and review requests for quote (RFQ) and work with the sales, feasibility, engineering, service, operations, and shipping departments to create cost estimates and detailed proposals for capital equipment, tooling, and aftermarket upgrades.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also provide engineering support to the technical sales department. It is important to follow all company policies and procedures and adhere strictly to the quality policy and procedure, as well as the protection of company property. You should participate in training as required by the company and maintain all company documentation accurately and timely.

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years’ experience in an engineering role in an industrial company.
- Engineering design is required (Pro Engineer, Solidworks,
- AutoCAD).Knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
