Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Proposal Coordinator to join a dynamic sales team in California. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in construction to organize and assist in the preparation, planning, implementation, tracking, and completion of proposals sent to clients. The Proposal Coordinator will report directly to the Lead Estimator/Sales Department Manager.
Responsibilities
- Generate new leads and organize those gathered for proposal opportunities.
- Meet weekly with the sales department to discuss department activities and project status.
- Organize priorities for projects and track due dates for upcoming bids.
- Follow up on submitted proposals and update the status of proposals sent.
- Investigate reasons for lost bids and report findings to the Sales Department Manager.
- Update the Sales Department Manager with changes to bidding software.
- Generate takeoffs for bids and prepare proposals on ProEst to submit to clients.
- Gather bids from vendors as required to formulate proposals.
- Educate clients about industry standards and the company's standards.
- Communicate with clients regarding projects and bids sent.
- Request documents, site plans, or roof plans before bid walks or site visits.
- Conduct initial site visits to determine requirements for a bid when requested.
- Scan site visit information, notes, pictures, and any other collected information to the computer.
- Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours and perform additional tasks as requested by the Sales Department Manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction is a must.
- Available to work Monday through Friday.
Benefits
This position offers competitive pay, with a salary range of $24 to $28 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
