Title: Property Manager
Department: Operations
Reports To: Regional Manager; Minneapolis - Hawthorne/Near North
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Compensation: $63,000 - $67,800, depending on experience, qualifications, and certifications
Position Summary & Primary Responsibilities:
The Property Manager is responsible for all property operations and team member management at their assigned property or properties and providing superior customer service to residents. This position has accountability for maintaining the smooth flow of operations, supervising and providing direction to site staff, and ensuring the financial success of their assigned property. In addition, this position is responsible for the following:
- Managing community activities, including oversight of maintenance, caretaker and office teams
- Timely resolution of resident issues while upholding the "culture of customer service" at Shelter Corporation
- Successful marketing of the apartment community including successful relationship building with local businesses and corporate outreach
- Excellent customer service and "can do" attitude
- Ability to remain organized, multi-task and work well under pressure
- Financial reporting, including owners' reports and budget creation
- Professional and polished image
- Frequent communication with teams and Shelter management
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by the Regional Director or Regional Manager
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience managing communities of 100+ units for a professional property management company 
- 4+ years of supervisory experience in leading and motivating teams to meet goals
- Tax credit and section 8 experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent leadership and management skills, including effective relationship building both within and outside the organization
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to effectively use, leverage, and learn technology platforms. Experience with Yardi software preferred.

- Ability to develop, understand, and adhere to a budget
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
