We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Property Controller for our growing healthcare organization. This role plays a critical part in our financial management team, focusing on the oversight of our expansive portfolio of commercial properties. The successful candidate must demonstrate a solid background in commercial property accounting, retail, hospitality, hotel, and resort sectors. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Property Controller, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing the financial management of our commercial property portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
2. Performing CAM reconciliations and ensuring accurate and timely CAM recs.
3. Implementing and maintaining robust financial control systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
4. Collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders to optimize property performance and value.
5. Providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
6. Conducting regular property audits and investigations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
7. Leading and mentoring a team of property accountants and assistants.
8. Staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes and adapting strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Property Controller role should possess the following:
1. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial property accounting with a focus on retail, hospitality, hotel, and resort sectors. Experience in the healthcare industry will be a plus.
3. Proven experience in CAM recs and CAM reconciliation.
4. Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
5. Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
6. High proficiency in accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
9. A high level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial management.
