Property Claims Associate Trainee | Remote
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To assist with processing first party property contents claims.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learning claims process through assisting the team working towards becoming proficient and licensed at which time there may be opportunity for growth to manage own claims.
- Assist with processing personal line property claims and ensures claim files are properly documented and coded correctly based on the policy.
- Maintains action plans to ensure state required contact deadlines are met and to move the file towards prompt and appropriate resolution; escalates issues as needed.
- Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client and agent or broker when appropriate.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization's quality program(s).
- Travels as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Designated Home State All Lines License to be obtained within 9 months of employment. Sedgwick will cover the cost of study materials and first 3 attempts.
Experience
- Experience in a fast paced environment, multitasking, working with different databases, and typing skills.
- Claims industry or General Office experience preferred.

- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

- Good interpersonal skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a virtual team environment

For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is ($20/hr - $24/hr).
