Compensation: $115K + Bonus + Equity

The Property Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of property accounting, including managing general ledger functions, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Strong leadership skills and a background in real estate accounting are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all property accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting for multiple properties.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements specific to the real estate industry.
- Manage audit processes and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Prepare and analyze property budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable related to property operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including variance analysis and profitability assessments.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor the property accounting team, promoting professional development and team collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience with a focus on property or real estate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in the real estate sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience with [insert software, e.g., Yardi, MRI] preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
