The Property Accountant will be responsible for managing all day-to-day financials for an assigned portfolio of multifamily properties.

The Property Accountant should have 2+ years of accounting experience in a Real Estate or Property Management company.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting functions for a set portfolio of properties.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
Perform property and consolidation accounting for multiple properties.
Use Yardi software to manage financial transactions, including creating financial reports and performing reconciliations.
Coordinate with the property management team to analyze budgets, prepare annual property budgets and re-forecasts, and perform variance analysis.
Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Real Estate or Property Accounting.
Proficiency in Yardi or other Accounting Software
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
