Growing Senior Living/Property Management Firm is hiring a Property Accountant for their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an company that invests in you with a great leadership team!

If you have 2-4 years of experience as a Property Accountant, enjoy a fast paced environment with support and have a strong background in Yardi, this role is for you! ***2 years of Property Accounting or Senior Living experience, as well as Yardi experience is required for consideration.

You'll work in office for the first month of training then transitioning to hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 remote afterwards.

Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Accountant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to bring their expertise to a vibrant company. You will play a key role in our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our accounting functions. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, with a specific focus on senior living or property management accounting.

Responsibilities:
As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

Preparing and analyzing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and higher level accounts payable including accruals, basic forecasting and general ledger maienance.
Ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded in the general ledger and are in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, reporting any variances promptly.
Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
Collaborating with external auditors and manage internal controls.
Providing recommendations to improve systems and procedures, leading to increased financial efficiency.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
A proactive nature, with the ability to spot potential issues before they become problems.
