We are a leading construction firm based in Denver, CO, and we are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Permanent Property Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a financial professional with a strong background in property accounting, who is looking for a challenging role within a vibrant and fast-paced industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a wide variety of accounting tasks, including managing accounts receivable, performing account reconciliation, and maintaining the general ledger. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Property Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all aspects of property accounting, including accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance.
2. Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
3. Conducting regular audits to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
4. Collaborating with other accounting team members to streamline financial processes and procedures.
5. Assisting with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
6. Analyzing financial data and providing recommendations for cost-saving strategies.
7. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
8. Addressing and resolving any financial discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
9. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in property accounting.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting, preferably within the property accounting industry.
3. Proficiency in accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
4. Strong knowledge of property accounting software such as Yardi or MRI, etc.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
9. A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
10. A professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA) would be a plus.
