Property Accountant - Creative Financial Staffing

Our Client, a leading real estate management firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Property Accountant to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial integrity of their portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general ledger accounting, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing journal entries
• Process and record tenant invoices, payments, and security deposits
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Collaborate with property management teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Maintain detailed property records and supporting documentation
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in property or real estate accounting (internships considered)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data
• Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment
• Familiarity with real estate industry terminology and concepts is preferred
