Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of property accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close procedures, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
- Coordinate with the hospitality team to understand and account for financial transactions.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on financial performance on a regular basis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Serve as the key point of contact for accounting and financial inquiries related to properties.
- Continuously improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in property accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Proactive in identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
- CPA or CMA certification would be a plus.
