About the Job
Title: Temporary Property Accountant (6 months)
Location: Hackensack, NJ
Shift: Day, 100% on-site
Rate: $40.00/hour
Responsibilities:
- Posting RPM Rents, reporting preliminary rents, finalizing monthly accruals after discussion with Property managers
- Review draft financials, identify reconciling entries, accrual adjustments and finalize financial with Senior Property management.
- Assist in the year-end Audit/Tax return process working closely with our external auditors to provide financial information and review returns.
- Perform special analyses on property results including revenues, operating expenses, and property accruals/allocations
- Ensure monthly distributions to ownership are completed and accounted for accurately
- Ensure payroll allocations are properly recorded to each property
- Monitor rent collections from commercial properties and analyze tenants' receivables outstanding, reporting to Head of Russo Property Management.
- Review monthly credit card bills and perform variance analysis, as required.
Position Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree, major in Accounting preferred
- CPA preferred
- 5-10 years' accounting experience
- Experience with Microsoft office products. Experience with Yardi preferred
- Proactive self-starter and team player
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff
