Our client in the Alpharetta area is seeking a Property Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity. This is a Full On-Site Role.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Staff Accountant with significant experience in real estate, construction, or property management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable, supporting financial reporting, and assisting with various accounting tasks across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter invoices, prepare checks for monthly draws, process payments, and reconcile vendor statements.
- Ensure invoice accuracy and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Perform reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, each tied to a specific entity.
- Manage journal entries for multiple entities, including both operational and non-operational entities.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets, and participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Provide assistance during audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Required Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years in real estate, construction, or property management.
- Experience with Yardi is required, and Sage 300 CRE is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate level).
