Join our innovative Infrastructure team and make a significant impact in the oil & and gas, petrochemical, and industrial gases industries. Reporting to the department manager, you'll collaborate closely with project management, MEP engineers, and licensed consultants to create safe and efficient instrumentation and control systems for our projects. Your Profile: You're a seasoned professional with a strong background in site-related Instrumentation /Control design. With experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial gases sectors, you're ready to bring your expertise to our dynamic team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for concept design, review, and maintain various Instrumentation and
Controls (I&C) designs by collaborating with other project engineers and department staff. Also
responsible for managing detailed IFC design with consultants. - Along with other Project engineers, you will prepare reports and provide status updates on I&C
system projects and activities to the department manager. - You will be responsible for developing concept I&C design in collaboration with other project engineers
and licensed consultants, per scope, schedule, cost, quality requirements of the projects and
applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, CSA, etc.). - Participate in Hazardous Operation Analysis (HAZOP) along with other engineers to consider
equipment, personnel, and environmental safety. - Collaborate with Quality Assurance & Quality Control leads to develop Control
testing/commissioning plan for Site I&C subsystems. - Assisting other engineers to integrate I&C systems with various hardware components, such as
sensors, actuators, detectors, and communication networks. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, electrical engineers,
commissioning technicians, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration and operation of I&C
systems.
Skills and Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in an associated field such as electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), Controls
Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and typically 5+ years of related work
experience. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in AutoCAD.
- Professional Engineer registration is not required but is desirable.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the design of programmable logic controllers (PLC) or distributed
control system (DCS) based control systems is desirable. - Willingness to travel to support at job sites (Less than 15% of the time).
- Excellent communication and documentation ability with the capacity to understand complex
problems and distill the message into a clear plan.
