ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seekinga Part-Time Project Support Specialist to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.

Job Summary:

The Project Support Specialist will provide support services to Code 550, Instrument Systems and Technology Division with a variety of technology development projects.

• Responsibilities: Purchase Requisitions-SAP
  • Manage and oversee assigned purchase requisitions.
  • Create purchase requisitions in SAP.
  • Complete government credit card (P-card) forms.
  • Use IT PR Tool when required.
  • Complete necessary forms.
  • Ensure all required procurement forms are signed.
  • Obtain vendor quotes when necessary.
  • Work with purchasing group until purchase requisition is awarded.
  • Follow-up with the vendors to track the status of the purchase request.
• Travel-Domestic and International
  • Create travel authorizations and expense reports for project staff. Travel arrangements are realistic, meeting expectations in terms of timeliness and accommodation to the greatest extent possible, and confirmation is provided prior to travel.
    • Travel authorizations and expense reports are completed in accordance with regulations, policy, and automated procedures.
  • Maintain expertise on travel preparation process (eTravel alternate preparers call).
  • Maintain travel documents and files.
• Other project support services as needed.

Requirements:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).
• Team player with a positive/ can-do attitude at all times.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person, with our customers and internal departments.
• Proactive, organized, detail-oriented to respond to customer requests and deadlines.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills- ability to interact with all levels of professionals.
• Knowledge of GSFC administrative systems, such as eMod, eDAA, IDMAX, and CGE/Concur is highly desirable.

• Complete PAAC Contract deliverables. (ie: Daily timecards; MNR reporting; Safety reporting etc.)

• Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.

Education and Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
