Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Supervisor to join one of our software development teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and distributing tasks based on incoming requests, acting as a liaison between the technical team and stakeholders, and assisting with hands-on tasks related to database management, web development, and desktop application tasks.
Responsibilities
- Task Oversight: Accept formal requests and create tasks for the developers. Monitor task progress, ensuring that projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the technical team and stakeholders, facilitating clear and effective communication regarding project status, challenges, and achievements.
- Technical Support: Provide hands-on support for database management, web development, and desktop application tasks as needed.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the software development team to achieve project goals while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Problem-Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve project-related issues, implementing innovative solutions to complex problems as they arise.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Engineering, or Business (or equivalent work experience).
Required
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a software development environment.
- Strong knowledge of database management, web development, and desktop application development.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft software development stack:
- SQL Server (SQL Query Language)
- NET and IIS
- C#/VB.NET
- Excel (basic knowledge)
Preferred
- Familiarity with Access Database (forms and data querying).
- Experience with the Jira task and issue tracking system.
Reports to Software Development Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $43.00 - $50.00 per hour DOE
