This Project Specialist coordinates project tasks and requirements with internal and external stakeholders while creating and documenting processes. A Day in the Life of Project Specialist
You bring a service-oriented mindset to your work with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination of tasks and project requirements. You excel at developing and maintaining project templates and procedures, fostering consistency and clarity across departmental teams. You create work plans, organize and manage project-related files, and ensure compliance requirements for complex contracts are accurately tracked and communicated to stakeholders. You support project managers and team members by monitoring task progress, maintaining key documentation, generating progress reports, and helping prioritize critical tasks to meet project goals efficiently.
Work Schedule for a Project Specialist
This full-time position typically works 40 hours a week. We also provide employees with the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2 days per week. The Silver Spring office of Toole Design is our corporate headquarters. We are conveniently located just outside of Washington DC in downtown Silver Spring, close to regional trails and bike networks, and two blocks from the Silver Spring Metrorail/MARC Station and bus depot. Our beautiful 8th floor suite offers stunning views of DC and surrounding Montgomery County.
We are targeting a salary $75,000-$90,000 for this position.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in a business environment, or a business focused degree and 1+ years of experience
- Basic knowledge of project management principles
- Experience coordinating and tracking multiple tasks and project requirements across multiple departments in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills- both oral and written
- Ability to be politely persistent as needed to ensure project processes flow as smoothly as possible
- Strong Microsoft Office skills especially with Excel
