Your role is pivotal in overseeing the entire lifecycle of diverse projects or estimating projects depending on your role. Working closely with both our valued customers and dedicated team members, you will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our esteemed quality standards. Your responsibilities encompass safeguarding and promoting the project's interests, proactively meeting our customers' desires for products of impeccable quality and attention to detail. With your advanced understanding of various standard and specialty drywall and drywall ceilings, you'll excel in the following areas:
- Review project scope requirements to identify risks and establish clear expectations with all stakeholders, providing clarity on scope, products, schedule, and coordination.
- Ensuring accurate bid proposals and delivering projects in line with profit expectations.
- Skillfully managing projects from start to finish, including conducting take-offs, managing material orders, overseeing project management, and handling project closeouts and punch lists.
- Engaging in professional face-to-face customer interactions and sales involvement, building strong relationships from initial contact through successful business closure.
- Maximizing opportunities to secure market share by employing consultative selling techniques and making informed recommendations on the diverse solutions our company offers.
- Developing a robust database of qualified leads through various methods such as referrals, cold calling, and networking.
- Taking responsibility for billing and collections, preparing monthly payment requests, and ensuring timely payments from clients.
- Maintaining control over projects by diligently tracking project schedules and budgets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Demonstrating exceptional communication skills with customers, vendors, subcontractors, construction teams, and project management personnel.
- Leveraging your strong knowledge of drywall and installation to troubleshoot field issues during production and identify potential challenges during the bidding phase.
- Skillfully negotiating material buyouts to obtain the best possible prices.
- Exhibiting the ability to understand, evaluate, and adeptly respond to customer proposals and RFPs for significant renovation and capital expenditure projects.
- Possessing familiarity with construction industry practices, methods, materials, installations, specifications, and conditions.
Needed:
- 2+ years of prior experience in commercial drywall estimating or project management.
- Experience with metal framing and stud sizes.
- Familiarity with OST and Quick Bid software.
- Knowledge of formal procurement and submittal processes such as RFQ, RFI, RFP.
- Ability to coordinate with field supervision and warehouse teams.
