Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the planning, implementation, and completion of telecommunications projects, specifically within fiber optics.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining the scope, goals, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Monitor project progress, making necessary adjustments to ensure the project stays on track and within budget.
- Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Ensure all projects are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage and mitigate project risks, identifying potential problems before they occur.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring everything is in place for the project to proceed.
- Conduct post-project evaluations, identifying areas of success and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in telecommunications project management within the construction industry.
- Proven experience with fiber optics is essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications systems and infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
