LivaNova has established a Sustainability strategy delivery program with global coordination to respond to regulatory requirements and commercial needs.
In 2023 and with the executive team, LivaNova's cross-functional Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Task Force developed the below Sustainability commitment and associated actions. The Sustainability commitment encompasses the Company's Sustainability Focus Areas -People, Products, and Planet.
Through the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of the LivaNova Board of Directors, the Board oversees the Company's Sustainability efforts. Within the organization, the Company's sustainability efforts are managed by the Head of Sustainability. The Sustainability governance structure includes a quarterly executive team partnership for vision and purpose calibration, a monthly engagement with a Steering Committee body (sponsored by the Chief Financial Officer) to drive corporate strategy awareness and goal setting alignment, and the cross-functional Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Task Force for unified execution of priorities. The ESG Task Force is comprised of senior leaders and other key stakeholders across the Company who lead ESG focus areas or whose work is informed by ESG.
The Head of Sustainability drives the governance structure and is accountable for successful prioritization and execution of the strategy and associated initiatives noted above, including regular and transparent education and awareness of Sustainability progress among the Company's stakeholders, both internally and externally; monitoring relevant regulations in markets worldwide to enable LivaNova to meet ESG and Sustainability performance expectations and requirements; and embedding sustainability impact, risks and opportunity analysis into the Company's strategic plan. The Sustainability Project Manager is a member of the LivaNova LEIP team.
The Sustainability Project Manager will be mainly responsible for:
- Assisting the Head of Sustainability and ESG Task Force to execute against the Sustainability strategy with data gathering/analysis & PMO (project management) support o Gather, format, and model global data to support regulatory requirements (e.g., Scope 3 data from various LivaNova systems / stakeholders and formatted per EPA assumptions).
- PMO lead for onboarding and embedding an ESG Tool, including Carbon Accounting - data sources, aggregation, formatting; process framework and data input controls, change management to embed into ways of working
- Assist to design and embed a cost model covering revenue, GP, overhead, fixed costs, and EBITDA to provide multiyear revenue and EBITDA projections to support Sustainability CAPEX/OPEX investments and realize Sustainability Strategy / timely regulatory compliance.
- Automate Sustainability data collection and centralized storage, with priority on meeting auditability and regulatory data requirements.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evolve process / data frameworks and controls to enable auditable and scalable information source, assumption, and evaluation process
- PMO lead for Sustainability initiatives, which may foster business unit growth planning (e.g., product lifecycle analysis, packaging improvements to enable productivity and less freight weight / costs; on time oxygenator production to reduce air freight costs, etc.).
- Maintaining the central framework to gather, monitor, prioritize, and communicate Sustainability requirements - key for proactive business continuity to ensure Regulatory and local standards are understood, documented, and adhered to with the mapping of risks and corrective actions, where necessary to ensure associated SOX controls are known and understood.
- Establish a cadenced internal process to proactively validate SOX controls & identify risks.

- Develop, implement, monitor, and evolve RACI + matrix per requirement
- Updating information and data related to LivaNova's Sustainability Ratings (ISS, Moody).
- Monday.com as the Sustainability PMO portfolio planning and tracking tool o Task organization by project, including GANTT creation and critical path management.
- Cost and timeline monitoring to develop baselines for future PMO initiatives o Develop status updates for stakeholder audiences (regions, business units, seniority).
- Knowledge of all tools and technologies that support Sustainability and Sustainability-related activities, such as templates, forms, systems, spreadsheets, external applications (e.g., data reporting systems, R&D / Quality templates for new product development, etc.).
- Assisting with the maintenance of a central internal Edge and external Sustainability website.
- Assisting with Sustainability transformational change management. This includes education, awareness, engagement, and cultural integration internally (e.g., at a site and product level, linking corporate strategy and local actions from the top down and bottom up) and externally (Suppliers, Customers, Distributors).
- Stakeholder analysis, mapping, and change impact assessment.
- Change approach and plan, assessing organization readiness and design
- Stakeholder engagement materials, working with Corporate Communications/Marketing Onboard and manage Sustainability site champions to help embed change and act as a conduit between Sustainability team and stakeholders
Essential Job Functions:
- Data aggregation and modeling.
- Lead global as well as small- and large-scale project delivery, monitoring budget, resources, and timeline with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Ensure compliance to Regulatory standards, mapping risks and driving corrective actions.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver against the Strategy.
- Quickly learn new processes, policies, and technologies.
- Seek, understand and critically apply Sustainability industry best practices.
- Build best-practice-based processes and globally collaborate to ensure alignment / transparency.
- Robustly document processes via flow diagram, standard operating procedure (SOP), user guide.
- Implement and enforce processes and controls that enhance ESG KPIs and financial discipline.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in a critical thinking (e.g., Engineering) or ESG-related discipline.
- MBA or other professional certification highly desirable.
- Organizational and global project delivery and change management experience highly desirable.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desirable.
- Lean or 6sigma training / certification highly desirable.
- Successful, 2+ year track record of project delivery including critical data analysis.
- Strong Microsoft skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Table, Macros).
- Organizational and global change support experience, preferable.
- Ability to travel regionally and internationally with minimal guidance and supervision to effectively support stakeholders and deliver projects.
Compensation & Benefits:
- A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $75,000- $125,000 + discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location and experience
