The Project Manager for Stormwater Engineering will focus on enhancing and evolving this practice area into a center of excellence for stormwater and drainage design, ensuring consistent and high-quality project delivery. This role is responsible for maintaining strict QA/QC standards on all project deliverables and submittals. The Project Manager will also work to meet or exceed key business metrics for their portfolio of stormwater and drainage projects, such as utilization, accounts receivable, and work in progress. Additionally, the Project Manager will actively collaborate in business development efforts to grow the stormwater and drainage project backlog.

Job Details
The Project Manager for Stormwater Engineering will focus on enhancing and evolving this practice area into a center of excellence for stormwater and drainage design, ensuring consistent and high-quality project delivery. This role is responsible for maintaining strict QA/QC standards on all project deliverables and submittals. The Project Manager will also work to meet or exceed key business metrics for their portfolio of stormwater and drainage projects, such as utilization, accounts receivable, and work in progress. Additionally, the Project Manager will actively collaborate in business development efforts to grow the stormwater and drainage project backlog.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in developing scopes, schedules, and budgets for stormwater projects, with the ability to clearly communicate these parameters to clients and project team members.
- Responsible for overseeing all phases of stormwater planning and design, as well as managing engineering services during construction.
- Skilled in using modeling tools to evaluate hydrologic and hydraulic conditions within a project area.
- Experienced in utilizing software to assess and propose solutions for identified drainage issues.
- Capable of developing construction documents that accurately depict solutions derived from stormwater modeling software.
- Able to identify the appropriate level of detail required at each stage of engineering design, ensuring the design process minimizes risk to the firm.
- Act as the technical lead for new proposals, serve as a client service manager to maintain existing relationships, generate new business opportunities, and support the Department Director with business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering degree highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Over 10 years of experience working with municipal clients, with a strong focus on stormwater planning and design.
- Experience in business development and marketing, including drafting proposals, defining scopes of work, and creating project budgets.
