POSITION SUMMARYA Project Manager manages multiple projects, coordinates all aspects of assigned projects, and estimates the scope of work.
SPECIAL SERVICES GROUP (SSG):The SSG is a separate studio from our primary core market sectors. SSG focuses on renovations, specialty architectural services (feasibility reports, front-end project planning), and new client relationships. The projects involve complex delivery methods and/or aggressive schedules and include a wide range of project typologies, construction types, and project size. SSG currently services clients in state agencies, entertainment/theme park projects, UC/CSU higher education renovations, and will assist other core market sectors. The group is nimble, and all individuals must be flexible and able to jump on all phases of a project.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Tasks include, but are not limited to:- Prepares strategic plans for project success.
- Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts - administrative and technical - to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
- May serve as the primary client liaison to ensure the completion of the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to the client's satisfaction.
- Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
- Estimates fees, determines scope of work, prepares proposals, contracts, and change orders/ASRs with the overview of the project PIC.
- Must use BIM, Deltek, and other software used in the production of project administration and construction documentation.
- May serve as a project architect.
- Works directly with principal, design director, senior designer, and project architect.
- Eight or more years of experience or equivalent in all phases of architecture from programming through project completion.
- Knowledge of multiple construction types and project deliveries.
- Licensed architect preferred.
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in architecture or equivalent is required.
- Additional industry certifications desired (LEED, DBIA, CDT, etc.).
- Must have knowledge of BIM fundamentals and other software.
- Revit knowledge is highly desired.
- Excellent communication skills with clients and staff.
- Experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint is preferred.
- Experience with writing proposals and addition service requests is preferred.
- Must lead in-person client meetings and be able to travel to local clients.

Salary range is between $105,000 and $130,000 annually.
