Job Details
We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager. This position is a key role in constructing new homes in master-planned communities. A qualified individual will oversee the daily operations of new home construction, communicate effectively, and have excellent time management skills. Must be able work and collaborate cross-functionally with all internal departments and key external players to make sure all homes are built on time within company quality expectations. This position reports to the Director of Construction.
Essential Job Functions
Manages the day-to-day construction activity on assigned job sites, ensuring high level of quality on all homes under construction
Conducts on-site meetings with homeowners to review home construction progress
Provide excellent customer service to all customers throughout the homebuying process
Attends and participates in weekly production and service team meetings sharing best practices
Collaborate with office personnel to correct plan, purchasing, and/or selection issues to both remedy the immediate issue and future concerns
Responsible to manage our online scheduling system for all homes under construction daily
Maintain a professional community appearance which includes site safety, model maintenance, and overall site appearance
Conduct onsite meetings with trade partners to ensure home quality, timeliness of completion, and site safety
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years as a Residential Project Manager or 5 years of construction site management experience AND
A minimum of 2 years of providing direct communication with Customers
Ability to read construction drawings, site plans, and standard details
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple homes simultaneously
Ability to work within a team, sharing ideas and best practices
Desire to take action to ensure homes get built on-time and with the quality expectations of our company
Attention to detail to identify problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
