We are on a quest to find a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our thriving team. Our ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with an unwavering commitment to the construction industry. You will be responsible for managing a wide variety of construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring that all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to our high standards of quality. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in the growth and success of our company while working on exciting and challenging projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Project Manager, you will be expected to:
1. Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation, ensuring the project's completion within the specified timeframe and budget.
2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
3. Review and manage all project changes, risks, and issues, ensuring that all changes are appropriately documented and approved.
4. Prepare, submit, and manage project change orders, ensuring that all changes are accurately reflected and tracked in the project budget and schedule.
5. Liaise with clients, architects, and other construction professionals, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
6. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
7. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
8. Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
9. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Project Manager, you should possess the following:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience managing change orders and understanding their impact on project scope, cost, and schedule.
4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead a team and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in project management software tools.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they become problems.
8. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
9. Knowledge of building and safety regulations.
10. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
