Job Title: Project Manager / Scrum Master – Actuarial Team
Location: Hybrid in Minneapolis, MN – Onsite 3 days per week – Local candidates only.
Start Date: ASAP Duration: Now through 12/31/24
Hours/Week: 40 hours
Rate: $70-$80/hour depending on experience
Contract Type: W2 Only (No 1099’s or Corp to Corp)
Scope of Services:
The Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting the Actuarial team as both a Scrum Master and Project Manager. They will provide essential support to the Klondike Agile team, including preparation for governance reviews, risk and issue management, financial governance, and metric establishment. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing project financials across multiple workstreams and teams, including estimates, change orders, and forecasts. They will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various workstreams to align on scope, delivery schedule, risks, and issues.
Essential Functions:
- This role is Scrum Master/Project Manager supporting the Actuarial team.
- The SM function will provide support to our Klondike Agile team to include preparation for governance review (Steering/Operating Committee, Portfolio), team risk/issue management, financial governance and establishing metrics.
- Manage project financials supporting multiple workstreams/teams to include estimates, change orders and forecast.
- Partner with varied stakeholders across multiple workstreams to align on scope, delivery schedule, risks and issues.
Knowledge, Skill & Competency Requirements:
- Demonstrated
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies to include SAFE and hybrid models.
- Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels within the organization, with emphasis on senior leaders, while operating in an ambiguous environment.
- Experienced in formal techniques of risk management.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Experience in Change Management
Education & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience managing and delivering successful IT projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Life Insurance and annuity experience as well familiarity with actuarial department or systems is preferred.
- Technical acumen with a complex test environment framework, driving continuous improvement and innovative solutions facilitating senior leader engagement.
