We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Project Manager to join our reputable construction firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our high-end residential construction projects, from planning to implementation. This role requires a strong understanding of construction principles and practices, with a particular focus on podium, hill side, and interior construction. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of work.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects from conceptual development through final construction.
2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
3. Review the project plans and specifications to determine the time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing the project.
4. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
5. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
6. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, and local and state regulations are met.
7. Use project management tools such as Procore and MS Project to monitor project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
8. Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
9. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
10. Resolve any problems that may arise during construction.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction project management role, with a focus on high-end residential projects.
3. Proven experience managing podium and hill side construction projects.
4. Proficiency in construction project management software such as Procore and MS Project.
5. Excellent knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
6. Strong understanding of construction law, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
7. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex construction projects.
9. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
11. A professional certification in Project Management (PMP) would be a plus.
