About the Job
We are actively seeking Project Managers and Superintendents to plan and execute bridge and highway construction projects in and around Massachusetts.
SPS New England, Inc., one of the leading heavy highway contractors in New England, is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform duties on Bridge and Highway construction projects.
Since 1984, SPS has been helping to rebuild New England’s infrastructure. Wherever you drive throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, there's a good chance you will travel down a road or over a bridge built by SPS New England.
Job duties include:
-Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources required.
-Ensure all project documentation is maintained and updated, including schedules, cost reports, and procurement records.
-Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with client needs and business objectives.
-site inspection to ensure compliance with specifications and monitor progress,
-provide technical advice regarding construction
-Communication with Sub contractors, safety, Field engineers, and Labor teams
-Oversee project scheduling and ensure milestones are met on time.
Requirements:
-Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
-5+ years experience with bridge and/or heavy highway construction preferred
-Experience with Excel, Bluebeam REVU, Procore, Primavera (P6), AutoCAD preferred
-Commutable to Boston/ Massachusetts area or open to relocation
-Construction Safety Training Including OSHA 30 Hour, Railroad ROW Safety, Fall Protection, Trench Safety, Haz-Mat Protection, Aerial Lift Operation, Fire Safety and First Aid.
Additionally, the candidate should have proficiency in letter writing and leading meetings, thorough knowledge of MassDOT or other DOT contract specifications, safety training, management experience with deep bridge foundations, earth support, steel formwork, structural demolition, large concrete placements, steel erection, roadway and drainage construction, marine work, and the writing of change orders and claims.
