*This position can be located in Rochester, NY; Albany, NY; or Springfield, MA*
Responsibilities
- All of the duties of the Service Technician including but not limited to:
- Mechanical Field Work.
- Flow Verification & Flow Study Reporting.
- Sampler Repair.
- Flow Study Support including data downloads and data handling.
- Estimating mechanical field work as specifically requested by Supervisor.
- Other tasks as assigned on a weekly basis.
- Technical Support to Service Technicians, Inside/Outside Sales, Contractors, and Customers.
- Project coordination across disciplines at various sites. Plan and implement new products and/or changes to the existing controls process as required.
- Act as Site Manager at 3 remote sites processing waste water. This would include coordination of the following activities:
- Line Jetting process piping.
- Maintaining roadways & Landscaping.
- Building upkeep.
- Data processing leading to DMR reporting.
- Maintaining inventories.
- Documentation.
- Program process control parameters and critical alarm monitoring.
- Field checks of process equipment.
- Participates on plant teams and other improvement projects.
- Coordinate and perform various system start-ups involving customer, vendors, and contractors.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Perform technical review of sales projects to ensure all aspects of job project are addressed.
- Performs process equipment troubleshooting, repairs, improvements and preventive maintenance utilizing the appropriate work processes and disciplines.
- With the appropriate knowledge, skills and qualifications, candidates will be expected to perform any task that is needed to support the operation or maintenance of a chemical plant.

- Strong Electrical, Mechanical and Problem Solving Skills.
- Understanding of Process Control concepts.
- Strong work ethic with ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication , with proven ability to clearly communicate with customer, engineering, technical support, sales, and management
- Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TravelTravel will be mostly within the state. There will be times where overnight travel is required. There will be times when cross country travel is required.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate's degree or postsecondary certificate in related discipline required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with Pumps, Motors, VFD's, and Chemical Metering Pumps is greatly desired
Required License and certifications
- Must have a valid, unexpired driver's license.
- Good driving record.
