Summary:
Reporting to the Market Manager, the Project Manager plays a pivotal role in planning, directing, and coordinating various DC power and critical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will ensure project objectives are met within budget and schedule constraints, fostering a collaborative environment with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications to determine scheduling, procurement sources, and staffing requirements.
- Develop and execute project work plans, adjusting as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and sales teams on contractual agreements and project deliverables.
- Direct and coordinate project activities to ensure timely progress and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports for stakeholders, modifying plans as needed to address challenges.
- Maintain proactive communication with customers, subcontractors, and vendors to manage expectations and resolve issues effectively.
- Attend construction meetings and provide technical support as required.
- Monitor site safety and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
- Complete all project close-out documentation in accordance with established standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field preferred.
- Minimum four years of experience in project management or technical customer service, preferably in the electrical equipment industry.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Familiarity with -48VDC and +24VDC systems and installation procedures.
- Knowledge of Cable/Telecom industry GR 1275 installation standards is advantageous.
- Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- CAD drawing experience is desirable.
- Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn about the emergency power industry.
- Access to high-speed internet for remote work.
Work Conditions:
- Regular travel to customer offices, facilities, and construction sites may be required.
- Must adhere to all safety regulations and expectations during site visits.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and travel long distances.
- Extended periods of sitting and computer work.
- Clarity of vision for computer usage and reading small print.
