We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager/Project Engineer with a specialty in HVAC systems to join our fast-growing construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a key player in the design, installation, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for our commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, installing, and maintaining HVAC systems in commercial buildings, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
2. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and contractors to develop effective HVAC solutions that are cost-effective and energy-efficient.
3. Preparing and reviewing technical drawings, plans, and specifications for HVAC systems.
4. Performing HVAC calculations and take-offs to determine the size and capacity of the HVAC equipment required.
5. Managing and supervising the installation of HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, and cooling systems.
6. Overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of chillers, piping, and other HVAC equipment.
7. Responding to RFI's and troubleshooting any issues or problems that arise during the installation or operation of HVAC systems.
8. Ensuring all HVAC systems and equipment comply with health and safety regulations.
9. Managing project timelines and budgets, and providing regular progress reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC in the commercial construction industry.
3. Proficiency in HVAC system design, including the use of CAD software.
4. Knowledge of HVAC equipment, including air conditioning, heating, cooling systems, and chillers.
5. Experience in performing HVAC calculations and take-offs.
6. Familiarity with piping systems and their installation.
7. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
10. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to HVAC systems.
11. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different project sites.
