Project Manager - Power Generation - US Tech Solutions, Inc.

Job Description:

• In this role you would directly impact the company’s goal of aggressive growth of the power generation business supporting data center solutions by helping lead projects to ensure success, including coordination with cross functional teams (Development, Environmental, Procurement, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, Operations, etc.) You would report to and update leadership within the Engineering and Construction Department and provide your input and expertise on a daily basis to subject matter experts and the project manager of a collaborative and dynamic team. You would be given the chance to dive into the process and progression of new and existing projects. • Employees in this role support the early-stage project management function supporting project origination and preparing for the execution of power generation projects. This job coordinates due diligence, condition assessment of the existing facility, conceptual design, capital estimating, schedule development and supports commercial agreement development to ensure the project or transaction is completed in the most cost effective and competitive manner with an acceptable level of risk. This position participates in all aspects of the project to ensure projects are completed on time, within budgetary constraints and perform according to expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Assists the day-to-day management of projects to ensure timely completion as well as cost effective and competitive results including administrative support and data management
• Uses analytical abilities and rigorous thinking to work cross-functionally, determine highest priority actions and tenaciously drive projects forward Coordinates and tracks key functions such as capital estimate and schedule development, engineering/design, project capacity and performance metrics
• Facilitates planning sessions and other project-related meetings to ensure that project objectives are clearly defined and understood
•  Provides timely written and oral communication of project issues and progress to Engineering and Construction management
• Tracks and manages project issues and risks, ensuring that they are documented and addressed promptly
• Ensures that project documentation complies with relevant standards, regulations and organizational policies
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Experience:

• Experience: 5 years in power generation or related field project coordination, controls or management

Skills:

• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills to navigate a matrix organization and manage resources and timelines
• Skill with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
• Skill with Microsoft Project or Primavera project management and scheduling software

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree OR any degree
