We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our team in the Construction mechanical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role demands a highly organized individual, capable of multitasking, meeting tight deadlines, and delivering projects on budget. It involves working closely with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Commercial Construction and Mechanical Engineering.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
2. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
3. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
4. Meet contractual conditions of performance.
5. Review the work progress on a daily basis.
6. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
7. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
8. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses.
9. Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
10. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in project management within the construction mechanical industry.
2. Proven working experience in construction management, including record of successful project delivery.
3. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
4. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
5. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
6. Excellent time and project management skills.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Proficient with construction management software.
10. Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
11. Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
12. BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field; PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
13. Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
14. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
15. Leadership and human resources management skills.
16. Excellent time and project management skills.
