Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager 1 & 2 to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of staff teams on assigned projects. Your main objective will be to manage project administration, ensuring accurate documentation to prevent any potential claims and safeguard the interests of our team and clients. Coordination of material procurement, scheduling, financial performance, and billing will also be key responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Supervise and manage daily operations of staff teams for assigned projects.
Initiate, review, and oversee project administration and documentation to mitigate risks and protect our interests.
Project Coordination:
Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment, collaborating closely with our purchasing agent.
Develop and implement buyout plans to meet or improve upon project schedule dates and budgetary targets.
Establish, monitor, and update project schedules to ensure timely completion.
Documentation and Compliance:
Manage the review, processing, and approval of project submittals.
Maintain accurate submittal logs to track project progress and compliance requirements.
Financial Oversight:
Manage the collection of payments, progress billing, and retention receivables within designated timelines.
Ensure the overall financial health of assigned projects through effective cost control, management, and forecasting.
Prepare and submit accurate monthly contract valuations in a timely manner.
Review, approve, and process invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
Qualifications:
Independent Decision Making:
Ability to make informed decisions independently.
Responsible for the oversight of a specific department or functional area within the company.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and departments.
Provide authoritative recommendations that significantly impact company activities.
Experience and Expertise:
Demonstrate a high level of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in problem-solving.
Set program objectives, organize projects, and establish standards and guidelines for diverse activities.
Possess specialist expertise with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including financial responsibilities.
Education and Skills:
College or university graduate, or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
Possess a combination of skills and experience typically required for specified technical roles.
The ideal candidate for this role will have exceptional leadership abilities, project management skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of our projects, ensuring their successful completion within established timelines and budgets.
