The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the entire life cycle of a project from inception through to closure. This includes controls design, controls installation, and retro-commissioning projects. The Electrical Project Manager is ensuring that the project is delivered efficiently and effectively in accordance with agreed budget, schedule, and quality and exceed the client's expectations.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Participates in business development activities through response to Request For Qualifications (RFQ), Request For Proposal (RFP) and participation in project interview presentations.
• Works with the client (internal or external) to define the project scope, schedule, deliverables, risks and expectations that are considered to deliver a successful project.
• Develops a proposal to document the project scope, schedule, deliverables, measures of success and associated fee.
• Develops an internal Work Plan to define revenue, hours budget, internal cost budget, travel budget, sub consultant budget and estimate reimbursable amounts.
• Develops budgets for controls installation projects that balances the capabilities of internal and external resources to deliver the project on schedule.
• Ensures the revenue and budget estimates are entered in to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to accurately reflect the execution of the project.
• Works with Leadership to ensure the project is correctly resourced per the established budgets and schedule.
• Schedules the project tasks and resources to ensure the agreed upon schedule is met within the budget constraints established.
• Establishes a project Kick Off meeting and ensure all team members are communicated to effectively throughout the course of the project.
• Manages team members and sub-consultants to ensure project objectives are met.
• Continuously tracks and reports project execution against budget in terms of schedule adherence, deliverables, cost and revenue.
• Where appropriate, technically direct/execute aspects of the project.
• Manages the client expectations and ensure regular updates are effectively communicated throughout the duration of the project.
• Ensures the project is closed out when appropriate and all commercial aspects are completed.
• Participates in relevant organizations for networking and professional development.
• Any other duties as assigned by Company Leadership.
• Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
• Is responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
• Work with foreman, review project reports, investigate and correct any reported difficulties, deficiencies or safety violations.
• Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated.
• Reports to owners and architects about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated.
• Visits projects to maintain an accurate feel for job progress, job directions and manpower and equipment needs.
• Meet with estimator job “Handoff” meeting
• Meet with Prefab Department / Foreman to discuss possibilities for job.
• Track submittals form purchase order award thru final approval.
• Price all change orders for jobs in a timely manner
• Submit and follow up to assure all (request for information) RFI’s are handled in a timely manner so our field personnel have the information when they need it.
• Track shipment of material and equipment after release of order to ensure timely receipt of materials to facilitate job schedule.

This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Division President.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering or 4 year Construction Management degree preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Have computer skills to the degree of jobs requirements.
• Reading of blue prints and schematics
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Travel Requirements

• 25-50% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• Shall require long periods of sitting or standing at a desk in front of a computer in the office environment.
• The office environment is usually quiet.
• Shall require the ability to walk, climb and crawl on a project construction site on occasions.
• On occasions shall be exposed to inclement weather.
